Lisa Woollett

Lisa grew up by the sea, in a house on the cliffs on the Isle of Sheppey. After a degree in Psychology she went on to study Documentary Photography at Newport School of Art.

From 1993 she worked as a photographer, past clients include: The Independent on Sunday, Barnardos, The Daily Telegraph, The Observer and Great Ormond Street Hospital.


She moved to Cornwall in 2004 and began photographing the sea a few years later, selling her work through galleries and her website. Her first book Sea and Shore Cornwall: common and curious findings was published in 2013 in association with the Eden Project. It was described by BBC Coast presenter Nick Crane as ‘A wonderful book’ and won a Holyer an Gof Publisher’s Award 2014. She is currently working on a second.
